A Breifcase and Sunglasses.

Look at these lovely ladies! They have the sweetest personalities and big hearts!  Peyton is one minute older than Paisley and loves being the big sister! Paisley is a go with the flow kind of girl.  Peyton’s favorite color is green and Paisley loves purple.

I really enjoyed this photo shoot with them just before they start Kindergarten! Such a special time in life.  Bittersweet when mamas and dads have to let their babies go into the world. Dropping your kids for their first day of kindergarten will most likely bring tears… and I do mean tears for us parents! Hahaha

I had a wonderful thought… I want to do more of these photoshoots!  We see Seniors in High School having their Portraits taken… why not start their school career with a sweet photoshoot that shows where they started?!  Ya know when they still have their cute baby teeth!

This specific portrait experience was inspired by a briefcase and sunglasses. You may be wondering how in the world that could be?!  Well… a while ago these sweet girls lost their Uncle. He may not have been around as much as he would like to have been but he definitely made an effort.  He and his Sister were super close growing up and through trials and tribulations their lives sort of went in different directions. But the day these sweet girls were born he made sure he was there.  That meant a lot to his sister.

As time passed and until paths would cross again, the love was always there.  Just before he passed he spent a lot of time with his family and would help his sister with the kids in the morning to get them ready for their days.  The girls may have been young at the time, but they remember their Uncle. They are all so glad that they had that special close time with him. When it came time to have something to remember him by, they chose a briefcase and sunglasses that belonged to him.

We all lose people we love and in time we all learn how to cope in the way that feels natural to us.  Talking about those we love and have lost can be very therapeutic. I am so happy that I was able to capture a few sweet portraits of these lovely ladies with the special things they chose to remember their Uncle by.

There are no guarantees in life.  Slow down, look around. Are you happy? Do you need change? I encourage everyone to do what they love, be around who makes them feel alive and if you are struggling, lean on those who love you most and make the changes you need to make in order to live your best life!

And remember… we all have baggage.  Don’t pack it all up and stay there! Don’t carry it all on your shoulders.  Pack it up and go release emotions as they are meant to come and go.  It is about the journey, not the destination.  Try not to stay in one place for too long.

Cheers to your new ventures girls!
